Vote For Lakisha to Eat Sanjaya

A hunger strike is a non-violent show of defiance where the protestor voluntarily abstains from food (and in some extreme cases) liquds too. Throughout history, notable people have used hunger strikes to blaze the path of change like Gandhi, Sami Al-Arian , Akbar Ganji and many political prisoners.

This year, another martyr joins their ranks. This poor hungry woman is staging a hunger strike until Sanjaya Malakar is voted off of American Idol.

It’s getting to a point where I don’t know if I can continue on like this anymore, my parents are starting to get concerned. i am going to try my best to make it until Wednesday night though. We’ll see.

Her blog is called Starvation for Sanjaya. Please help this poor martyr. Don’t vote for Sanjaya Malakar.

    what the hell is wrong with this girl. she gives people like gandhi a bad name. they actually hunger striked for something that mattered (independence, peace, etc.) this girl is just hunger striking for a stupid tv show. listen, if you don’t like the show, or a democratic vote, then stop watching the show, and go to arbys. the fact that some of you actually care about something this trivial is one of the reasons why much of the world hates us.

    I agree w/ eric. Although, I am horrible dissapointed with why sanjaya is being voted for. he doesn’t sing near as good as some of the other. this IS a singing competition, not a popularity or howard stern contest. I can’t stand him by the way. Anyway, it is just a tv show, but it is being ruined by starvation girl and bad voting judgement!!! My opinion of course.
